Some more awesome remixes of Snow Ghosts tonight, including Blue Daisy's rapper alter-ego Dahlia Black, dubstep noise master Roly Porter and the wonderful Matthew Herbert, then some new stuff from the Blue Mountains' idm-head Comatone, and a moving personal piece from Perth's Comatone. We have electronic shoegaze from Tokyo's Neon Cloud, and a solo droney track from original shoegazer Simon Scott, some classic-sounding indietronica, quality as always from epic45, and some lo-fi indie/electronic sounds from Matthew Collings' Sketches For Albinos project. Sydney's Kate Carr brings us her latest ambient music with field recordings, and finally something beautiful & broken from Petrels (ex-Bleeding Heart Narrative). LISTEN AGAIN, listen for the first time, listen. Link at bottom, stream in stereo from FBi. Snow Ghosts feat. Dahlia Black - Covenant (Remix) [Houndstooth] Listen again — ~109MB

Tonight we heard some contemporary re-fixes of old-school junglist sounds, some kind-of trip-hop pop through a post-dubstep techno lens (oh yeah baby, throw those genre names around!), a new electro-pop duo for a breakcore god, some experimental violin from Brisbane, and some incredible bluegrass/nugrass. LISTEN AGAIN, because you will otherwise regret it for the rest of your life. Link at bottom, stream in stereo from FBi. Lee Bannon - Resorectah [Ninja Tune] Listen again — ~109MB

email: utilityfog at frogworth dot com Mastodon ![]() Utility Fog teeters on the cusp between acoustic and electronic, organic and digital. Constantly changing and rearranging, this aural cloud of nanotech consumes genres and spits them out in new forms. Whether cataloguing the jungle resurgence, tracking the ups and downs of noise and drone, or unearthing the remnants of glitch and folktronica, all is contextualised within artist & genre histories for a fulfilling sonic journey. Since all these genre names are already pretty ridiculous, we thought we'd coin a new one. So "postfolkrocktronica" it is. Wear it. Now available: free "Live on Utility Fog" downloads!
