Tonight's show features a few newies, surprisingly for this time of year! We've got Japancakes covering My Bloody Valentine's entire seminal Loveless album in their kind-of alt.country style, yet staying strangely true to the original. And we've Shearwater's astoundingly brilliant Palo Santo album which seems to me from the singing, the sound, and even the artwork to be a tribute to late-period Talk Talk…
Then we've got Leigh Tran's fantastic new compilation I Don't Want Anything For Christmas on her Traffic Sounds label. You gotta get hold of this! And also something freaky from The John Moran Corperation ou of the Blue Mountains.
And a really interesting jazz-meets-electronic compilation from Orange, which is an unlikely collaboration between Andrew Klippel (son of famed Australian sculptor Robert Klippel), highly-regarded Australian jazz pianist Mike Nock, and Nick Littlemore and Pete Mayers of P'nau. It doesn't sound anything like you'd expect, I'll bet. We've also got a Gescom remix later too, and a brilliant epic track from Hungarian electronic artist Tigrics.
