Tonight is the night that. As you can see, I've run out of words. Luckily, my show presents a lot of instrumental music, and what the hell, if it's not instrumental the artists can supply the words for me. Newness this week comes from Apparat, one of the blokes who co-runs the Shitkatapult label. Very nice glitchy electronic stuff, here with live strings and some vocals. Also some instrumental electronic rock from Ireland from God Is An Astronaut, very much in the vein of Epic 45 or 65daysofstatic. God Is An Astronaut - Suicide By Star [Revive Records]

Labels and artists! We'd love you to send promo/demo CDs or vinyl to:Peter Hollo - Utility Fog FBi Radio PO Box 1962 Strawberry Hills NSW 2012 AUSTRALIA email: utilityfog at frogworth dot com ![]() Utility Fog teeters on the cusp between acoustic and electronic, organic and digital. Constantly changing and rearranging, this aural cloud of nanotech consumes genres and spits them out in new forms. Whether cataloguing the jungle resurgence, tracking the ups and downs of noise and drone, or unearthing the remnants of glitch and folktronica, all is contextualised within artist & genre histories for a fulfilling sonic journey. Since all these genre names are already pretty ridiculous, we thought we'd coin a new one. So "postfolkrocktronica" it is. Wear it. Now available: free "Live on Utility Fog" downloads!
