As mentioned in the previous post, I’m going to be heading overseas as of, well, TODAY! Travelling with my girlfriend round Europe & UK, with a side order of Shanghai & Tokyo on the way back. You can check in on our travels at my blog and Angela’s blog. 22nd June - Kit Brash There’ll be a mix of indiepop, postrock, electronica, sound art, contemporary classical, experimental radio, plunderphonics etc etc. In other words, the same sort of stuff you expect from Utility Fog every Sunday. Enjoy! Sunday, 15th of June, 2008

Evening. Tonight is my last show until the 27th of July as I’m gallivanting overseas from Monday the 16th! Micachu - Lone Ranger [BrikaBrak] Sunday, 8th of June, 2008
Playlist 08.06.08 (11:24 pm)
Quite a few rather long tracks tonight… A bit of an epic of drone noise from Melbourne’s Zond from a new split 12″ on Spanish Magic, and later we have hi god people from the flipside. Fabulous track from Underlapper’s Morning Stalker, and some lovely piano processing from last year from Shoeb Ahmad. And so it goes. Also on the live front, two great gigs to choose from on Saturday night: Guy Blackman launches his lovely album Adult Baby at Spectrum, and Adrian Klumpes’s fantastic new trio 3ofmillions are playing at the Sound Lounge @ the Seymour Centre. Oren Ambarchi - Bleeding Shadow [Touch]

Utility Fog teeters on the cusp between acoustic and electronic, organic and digital. Constantly changing and rearranging, this aural cloud of nanotech will take you from deep within the world of post-rock (where live musicians sometimes sound like machines), through the realms of folktronica (where acoustic instruments are chopped and processed into new forms) and into the outer reaches of idm and experimental electronica (where artificial intelligences skitter and crackle, and may just pull at your heart-strings). Since all these genre names are already pretty ridiculous, we thought we'd coin a new one. So "postfolkrocktronica" it is. Wear it. We got tasty rss2, rss or atom feeds - get Utility Fog playlists in your favourite RSS reader/aggregator. Other FBi Radio shows with blogs/online playlists: Fat Planet Vertigo Oh no! It's Levins!
