As mentioned in the previous post, I’m going to be heading overseas as of, well, TODAY! Travelling with my girlfriend round Europe & UK, with a side order of Shanghai & Tokyo on the way back. You can check in on our travels at my blog and Angela’s blog.

Evening. Tonight is my last show until the 27th of July as I’m gallivanting overseas from Monday the 16th!
First track tonight is from a young English gal called Mica Levi, with production help from none other than Matthew Herbert. Also new is some lovely electronica from Lagos Disco Machine on a new Canberra label called PCSC.
And I played some My Bloody Valentine because I’ll be seeing them in Glasgow in early July! But fret not, because I hear they’re touring Oz in December!

Quite a few rather long tracks tonight… A bit of an epic of drone noise from Melbourne’s Zond from a new split 12″ on Spanish Magic, and later we have hi god people from the flipside. Fabulous track from Underlapper’s Morning Stalker, and some lovely piano processing from last year from Shoeb Ahmad.
Then we have something new from the Tango Saloon, with Jane Sheldon from Sydney’s sadly defunct Gauche, rather deliciously covering a wonderful piece of perfect poptronica from some years ago.
Also from Sydney is TJ Eckleberg, who launches his new album at MINT in King’s Cross this Friday night. Not as experimental as his fabulous last album, it’s an excellent mix of r’n'b beats and great songwriting.

And so it goes. Also on the live front, two great gigs to choose from on Saturday night: Guy Blackman launches his lovely album Adult Baby at Spectrum, and Adrian Klumpes’s fantastic new trio 3ofmillions are playing at the Sound Lounge @ the Seymour Centre.
