Uh-oh, it’s the night before Christmas… Now, let’s be straight: I hate Christmas. But I love the Cocteau Twins, and this first song was reissued on their beautiful Lullabies to Violaine boxed set of singles & EPs this year, so here goes!

Evening! Starting with a bit of a Middle-Eastern feel, and going from faster tempos (although they may not feel that way) into the slower morass of dubstep, where I’ll sit for a few tracks at the start of the show instead of later on, and then we’ll get into some more indie/postrock things and some other nice stuff… Later on, some beautiful French indie/postrock from Gypsophile and Funckarma & Kettel team up for Dutch electronica bliss as Scone. Plus another belated bit of dubsteppy stuff when Various Production remix their label-mate, one Thom Yorke. And speaking of remixes, Funkstörung’s latest remix album (which means them remixing other people) is apparently going to be their last release. We have a preview track from that album later on tonight as well.
