Lots of lovely music for y’all this week. Starting with my album of the year - next year, that is, as it’s not out till January 15th 2005 in the UK. We’ll just have to start agitating for someone to license it here.
Bit of guitar-led post-rock stuff as well, and then we were helped through the middle of the show by Beefcake, a small sampling of their material plus some new tracks from Volker Kahl, one half of Beefcake recording as Kattoo. We didn’t even explore all the sides of Beefcake - we’ll have to wait for another time to check out the occasional perfect Aphex Twin impersonations, dark ambience, and almost-pop tunes.
