Hokay, I’m putting up tonight’s playlist for the first time using a new blog program, WordPress - hopefully it won’t make a jot of difference to you, the end-user, except that it might load quicker. Belle & Sebastian - Don’t Leave The Light On Baby [Jeepster] Sunday, 23rd of May, 2004
Playlist 23.05.04 (9:05 pm)
OK, a very compact Múm interview tonight (but padded out with LOTS of tracks!), plus a bit of new stuff and lots of great, well, older stuff :) Just what you’ve come to expect from You Tilley Teaf Hog, eh. 65daysofstatic - face of the earth (clinging on to) {remix of Dismemberment Plan} [Dust Punk Records] Sunday, 16th of May, 2004
Playlist 16.05.04 (9:07 pm)
Tonight we have an interview with the lovely Jason from Pretty Boy Crossover (aka PBXO, originally Adelaide-based, now residing in Melbourne). Also featured is new music from English post-jungle experimentalists Icarus, and a big pile of new vinyl, including a new track from Sun on a split 12″, new music from Keith Fullerton Whitman (Hrvatski’s more sedate alter-ego) and more. Sun - Bruise Things [Textile Records] Sunday, 9th of May, 2004
Playlist 09.05.04 (8:36 pm)
Big interview with Valerie from Lali Puna tonight, and new stuff from all around as well, including that excellent French duo confusingly named Octet, and that US duo Matmos removing a rat from their apartment, recording the process and then creating an insane prog-rock-drill’n'bass-digital-cut up soundtrack to/with it… Octet - Hey Bonus [Discograph/Diamondtraxx]

So, starting with a criminally neglected Sydney album from last year (re-release it TJ!), followed by some excellent post-rock from Melbourne, then an ex-pat New Zealander… Interview with Polish Ninjas Skalpel this week, plus new stuff from Jason Forrest (plunderphonic breakcore lunatic who used to call himself Donna Summer) on Mouse on Mars‘ Sonig label, edIT on Planet µ, new remixes of Boom Bip… The list goes on, and the next few weeks will only be featuring MORE new music and interviews… TJ Eckleberg - Lighbulb [Akimbo]

Labels and artists! We'd love you to send promo/demo CDs or vinyl to:Peter Hollo - Utility Fog FBi Radio PO Box 1962 Strawberry Hills NSW 2012 AUSTRALIA email: utility_fog at fbiradio dot com
Utility Fog teeters on the cusp between acoustic and electronic, organic and digital. Constantly changing and rearranging, this aural cloud of nanotech will take you from deep within the world of post-rock (where live musicians sometimes sound like machines), through the realms of folktronica (where acoustic instruments are chopped and processed into new forms) and into the outer reaches of idm and experimental electronica (where artificial intelligences skitter and crackle, and may just pull at your heart-strings). Since all these genre names are already pretty ridiculous, we thought we'd coin a new one. So "postfolkrocktronica" it is. Wear it. We got tasty rss2, rss or atom feeds - get Utility Fog playlists in your favourite RSS reader/aggregator. Other FBi Radio shows with blogs/online playlists: Fat Planet Vertigo Oh no! It's Levins!
