It was the first time in a long time that I can remember feeling that a politician was saying something sincere rather than something that might forward one agenda or another. The reaction of the crowd was overwhelmingly positive (but not for Nelson's speech). The ABC has really <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/events/apology/" rel="nofollow">good coverage</a> of the whole event. In particular there's a <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/video/2008/02/13/2161249.htm" rel="nofollow">video of Rudd's speech</a>.
