How to steal an election (1:15 pm)

Robert F Kennedy, Jr, writes an in-depth article in Rolling Stone called “Was the 2004 Election Stolen?“, to which the answer is, unsurprisingly by now, a resounding yes.
What’s particularly outrageous is the brazenness and arrogance with which the Republicans went about the perversions of justice in Ohio (in particular) in order to secure their victory. The whole thing is worth a read, but I should warn those with high blood pressure that you may want to take it in small doses.

Edit: More (if not indeed far too much!) info at The Brad Blog
Update: Mark Chu-Carroll of Good Math, Bad Math has an analysis of the mathematical side of the article in which he says it is, unfortunately, bad maths. He still believes it’s likely the election was stolen, but probably not for the reasons RFK gives. Oh well.
