Hm, sometimes I wonder… clearly this is my “personal” page, so it makes sense to use this URL when I fill in the “webpage” or “URL” fields on other people’s comments forms.

But it occurs to me that when I’m commenting on a music blog or about something music-related, maybe it’d be better to put the Utility Fog URL. Being my radio show, that 3-hour chunk of Sydney’s airwaves that belongs to me ME ME, it gives a pretty good picture of my musical tastes, and a lot of people recognize me from over there these days.
And I don’t seem to write about music so much over here any more.
Which is a shame. It’s just that preparing 3 hours of music every week makes it hard to take time out to write reviews. Still, a few things have been sincerely floating my boat of late, such as the estimable Jason Forrest’s Shamelessly Exciting CD on Sonig, the amazing newie from World’s End Girlfriend, The Lie Lay Land (on the Japanese Noble Lable and hence expensive/hard to find) and, well, lots more.

In other music news, the new FourPlay album is recorded and mixed, and will be getting mastered shortly! Will nevertheless not be out for ages, but the Trust single should be out in late Feb or early March, including remixes by Clue To Kalo and m’self. Oh, and the rest of the band kindly let me loose on a 9-minute jam we did one evening in the studio, so I did some subtle folktronic edits and effects to it, making the last track on the album, Appalachian Jam. I’ll probably do further fuckery with it later for a major remix overhaul - I’m sure we’ll end up with like a deluxe triple remix album plus bonus 7″s or something this time… ;)
