Deep Throat revealed (10:50 pm)
I don’t exactly know why, considering my age and all, but I got a little shiver when I read this:
Deep Throat revealed. Mark Felt, who was FBI No. 2 at the time, has admitted to being “Deep Throat”, the insider who was central to the Watergate scandal that brought down Richard Nixon. Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the journalists who brought it all into the public, have confirmed that it was him.
Now where’s investigative journalism like that these days? I mean, come on - the Ohio voting machine scandal should blow Bush out of the water… *sigh*

Well, there is Greg Palast.
It’s probably a matter of cognitive dissonance. People see so many cranks and conspiracy theorists going on about all sorts of things that they’re quick to filter out anything that doesn’t fit with consensus reality. And consensus reality is what CNN, FOXNews and the New York Times will report.
