RNC NYC (12:05 pm)

Via BoingBoing, here’s a story by one of the many many people incarcerated during the protests against the Republican National Convention held in NYC recently. He was wrongfully arrested for basically just being there (and even mentions an “interesting” conversation with a young Republican who happened to be walking in the wrong place and got arrested, punched in the face, and generally maltreated) and held for an astonishing 40 hours before he finally got in front of a judge (and immediately let out with an “ACD” (Adjournment for Contemplation of Dismissal), which means no charges are made and no record is held, but you have to not get arrested for the same within the next 6 months.

Very interesting.
