Margo Kingston's Webdiary is always excellent and thought-provoking, and today's is Searching for answers. Lots of accounts from people about their election experiences and post-election feelings. Lots of sadness and anger… Some chilling stories of experiences with those dreaded Liberal voters (!) and heaps of people saying they voted Green hurrah!

And speaking of The Greens, my old friend Kerry Nettle, a damn fine trumpet player as it happens, is almost definitely going to get a Senate seat in New South Wales, which is utterly fantastic! A dedicated 27-year-old female Green senator! She's "Quietly confident", but not assuming anything until it's all counted. There's a chance of two other Greens getting into the Senate, a distant chance, but it'd be pretty superb. So I'm not all that distressed really. I hope that the ALP get their act together before the next election. And maybe dump Crean before they get there…
