Just read an article in last weekend’s Sydney Morning Herald Specrum by Helena Echlin that they titled Critical Massacre, a great and to my mind entirely-to-the-point examination of the woeful effect of postmodernism (or Critical Theory, or Theory) on the academic arts. Of course, anyone who doesn’t share my horror at the sloppy thinking and obfuscatory wording practised and encouraged by “Theory” will probably have an apoplectic fit on reading it. Sucked in ;)
